  5. the IMVS (Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science),

  8. the Cancer Registry,

Medical Board of Australia

The role of the Medical Board of Australia is to:

  1. register medical practitioners and medical students
  2. develop standards, codes and guidelines for the medical profession
  3. investigate notifications and complaints
  4. where necessary, conduct panel hearings and refer serious matters to Tribunal hearings
  5. assess International Medical Graduates who wish to practise in Australia
  6. approve accreditation standards and accredited courses of study
